Plantiful Life ("we," "our," or "us") operates the Plantiful website (easyvgn.com) and the Plantiful iOS application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our services.

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your first name, last name, email address, and password. Your password is managed securely by Firebase Authentication and is never stored in plain text.

Subscription information: If you subscribe, we collect payment-related identifiers (such as your Stripe customer ID or Apple transaction ID) to manage your subscription. We do not store your credit card number or payment details directly — these are handled by Stripe or Apple.

Usage data: We store your recipe selections, shopping lists, and favorites to provide and improve the service.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and maintain the Plantiful service
  • Manage your account and subscription
  • Generate your weekly meal plans and shopping lists
  • Send your shopping list to third-party grocery services (such as Instacart) at your request
  • Respond to support requests

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate Plantiful:

  • Firebase (Google): Authentication, database, and hosting
  • Stripe: Web payment processing
  • Apple: In-app purchase processing (iOS)
  • Instacart: Grocery delivery integration (when you choose to send your shopping list)
  • OpenAI: To improve grocery search accuracy when generating shopping lists

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. We share data only as described above (with service providers necessary to operate the app) or when required by law.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data and associated records (recipes, shopping lists, favorites) from our systems.

7. Data Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted connections (HTTPS), secure authentication (Firebase Auth), and access controls to protect your data. No method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

8. Your Rights

You can:

  • Access and update your account information at any time
  • Delete your account and all associated data from the app settings
  • Cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID or Stripe account

Plantiful is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
